Authors self-published and self-promotion: an essential pre-publication Promotion Tips

Again and again we have seen articles that give advice to help self-published authors exhibition victory after finishing his book. But this time it's too late. Traditionally, the authors have published ahead. They are helped by the editors and publishers at home to promote their books. Self-published authors have not have that luxury. Waiting too late to promote the book self-publishing author could lead to loss for the book is still available for purchase.

Being a traditionally published author, still do most of my own promotion. It helped me learn a lot. Self-published authors looking to ask my advice and go out of my way not to give advice generic promotion. Advice to the old work yesterday just to the classics and do nothing for self-published authors. Self-published authors have put a lot of blood, sweat and tears in the promotion. Not only the writing of book, but also published. They should start thinking of themselves as publishers of the truth and not as perpetrators. If a book is good, if someone no one knows you're there, not be sold.

Let me share some advice, self-published authors more understanding about how significant amount of promotion is the right to self-publishing books.

  1. It is never too early
  2. Conventional publishers begin to market their books authors book of the month before leaving. Although this is the usual time frame for pre-promotion, This will squat to a self-published book. Self-published authors should start promoting themselves before the book is even completed. Self-Published authors need to create a Buzz sound and make sure that people know that I have written a book before printing. A good amount of pre-buzz promote self-published the book would be a year before releasing the book. That's one year before its publication. Remember, it is difficult promote self-publishing books. It's even harder if you expect to be able to compete with new books on the market that are traditionally published. And only you will be competing with. Promotion should begin as soon as they have officially decided to publish its own book.

  3. To promote the industry, not only their potential audience
  4. While beginning the process of promotion do not ignore the industry itself. Promoting himself to other writers, journalists, media and book reviews in the pre-promotion. Join writing groups and groups that allow the author to members of self-published authors. Join social networks and cries the sky, you're an author. Having a website murderer. Befriend independent bookstores (you need), and online booksellers like Amazon. You are not only an author but an editor. Right like it! The authors did not establish a relationship with bookstores, but publishers do. If you sign up to be his own publisher, you need to do things that real publishers do. You must establish a presence and industry knowledge. It is also necessary build a strong partnership with the booksellers. This will be your bread and butter. Also, make as many media contacts as you can. You not only to be the author and publisher, but also the publicist. Self-publishing a book makes you put several hats. It is time to visit job.

  5. Skip To Book Clubs When you self-publishing
  6. The book club can offer exposure, especially if loved your book. However, book clubs must be aware of their book to be interested. Traditional publishers will often ask the authors for a list of book clubs an author would like to contact the publisher. The authors also contact their own book clubs awareness. One thing I have noticed is that self-published authors do not appear to promote book clubs. Book clubs can offer you tons of exposure and comments. Not only read and discuss his book, but also share information with organizations, libraries and other book clubs.

The good news is that the book club does not appear that the bias against self-published authors and other options. Self-published authors should start to communicate with the Book Club leaders months before publication. The email or telephone if a number. Pitch your book to them as if launched a bookstore. If they do not seem interested, they offer something to change his mind. If you live in the area of a particular club, offering come and talk to the club. Offer to order books for club members to read and review. Mostly it is a long wait to receive self-published title once you've ordered. Give them an autographed copy. Helping the group to go out and be more willing to help. Launch the movement in the best possible way. You can sell tons of books through book clubs only. This is another time to remind you that you are also the editor and publisher. Act as such.

  7. Promote self-publishing through the other and vice versa
  8. Good if you are having trouble selling his self-published books. The chances are that you are not alone in this situation. Cross-promotion can be very effective if used properly. Self-published authors can promote both faster than their own promotion. Review of self-published books by other authors and post your comments (honest), on sites like Amazon. If you do not like the book, you can always tell the author and give them the opportunity to reject the possibility of review or not, but this is great promotion. Most book reviewers could not reach a self-published the book, so this may be the best option. The trick is in choosing the best author to check his work. Do not take any who. Choose someone who is gaining respect in the industry as a self-publishing. Want someone that is very popular and whose propaganda or opinion will give some readers.

How feedback is a self-published author can not be. In return, examination of their books or promote your website. You can start a small service on-site examination (not free), where you can browse books by other authors and displays information on your site. Thus, not only to bring attention, but is regarded as a literary influence and increase their visibility through to help others. This link takes you to and attract more visitors to your site. Make sure you sell books directly from your website as well. Whatever Whatever you do, do not result in spam. This will only turn people away. Remember, you are no longer just an author. You're the whole package.

  9. You can never make the promotion too Much

As a self-publishing, it limits the audience of his book. Nobody knows who you. Self-published books are not available in bookstores or libraries. Self-published authors, all public depends on their capacity for self-promotion Online. Self-Published Authors waste too much time in the conventional methods do not work. Why a book signing when the book is not available in stores? Why spend money to put ads in magazines if your book is not available in stores? The truth is that if a book is not accessible by conventional methods, so why conventional advertising? Most people buy books out of tents, Contrary to popular belief. You must make them want to own. You must have a good location to the public and a good hook for respondents. Be creative. Using the Internet as their main source of exposure. Note that this is for long-term sales. Do not expect results of the night. It takes months and years to sell books. The goal is to continue to promote and maintain your book in every mind.

You must remember that the long-term promotion that sells a book self-published or not.

Who is the author of books on horror scary? Who is your favorite?

Can you please point me to an author who writes novels that literally scare you? I used to read Graham Masterton, but his books are few and far in the looking for something new. Thank you.

I do not know if they are even published, "Dennis Wheatley The Devil Rides Out" gave me the horrors of age. It's a classic black magic book. Wheatley pontificates a bit, but creating a good page to Turner. I can recommend "The Haunting Of Toby Jugg "and" The Ka of Gifford Hillary. He wrote mainly adventure novels (I think, but I've never read), and only a handful of people black magic. They are different from the horrors of today, but really creepy!
